Curd Drum

The curd in the process tank is discharged into the curd Straining Drum by opening the tank discharge valve. The filtering drum, which is positioned in the flow direction of the discharge valve of the process tank, rotates rapidly around its own axis with the effect of the 0.75 Hp engine. The cheese curd flowing into the drum straining zone is separated from 98% of the water phase through the pores on the surface of the drum with sizes ranging from 500 micron/1000 micron, and the cheese curd, which is too large to pass through the pores, is poured into the curd straining vessel.

Curd water, which has a molecular size that can pass through 500/1000 micron pores, accumulates in the Whey Whey (PAS) collection reservoir located under the drum. Whey separated from the curd is transferred to the whey storage tank to be processed into curd or different products, with the help of a centrifugal pump with 2.2 kW motor power placed at the exit point of this chamber.
